Famous Juniper Forest

In Pakistan a famous juniper forest is found in Ziarat District of Baluchistan. These junipers are considered to be the real treasure of Ziarat. It is known as the second largest Juniper forest on the planet. It covers an area of about 247,000 acres in Ziarat, Zarghoon mount and some other mounted areas of Baluchistan. There are trees in the forest those are considered to be more than 5000 to 7000 years old.

It is added here that the first largest juniper forest in the world is found in Oregon (USA). Roughly it covers an area of 6.5 million acres of Oregon land, spreading across 17 counties; its greatest abundance and largest continuous stands are in Oregon, yet it extends into northern California, south-central and south-eastern Washington.
