Flood affected people wade through water to reach safer areas in Pakistan




Pakistan is included in the list of climate change vulnerable countries. Met Office has warned that global warming has turned to a dangerous level in the world having serious implications on the countries around the Equator. The rising global temperatures might cause Pakistan’s most looked forward season of the year, spring to end completely. 

The effects of climate change and global warming on Pakistan, the melting of glaciers in the Himalayas, threatening the volumetric flow rate of many of the most important rivers of Pakistan. In future Spring season in Pakistan is being short and summer will increase. To overcome the shortage of water after melting of glaciers in the north; Pakistan has to use existing polluted water for agriculture after its treatment.  
Climate Change Mitigation Pakistan's greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions are low compared to international standards.
